Kinetic Green is all set to revive a legendary nameplate with the launch of the Kinetic DX electric scooter in India on 28 July 2025. The iconic brand, known for shaping India’s scooter culture in the 80s and 90s, is stepping into the EV era while paying tribute to its classic roots.
The upcoming Kinetic DX has already been teased on the company’s new social media account. Though the teaser avoids technical specs, it clearly shows off a familiar silhouette and traditional Kinetic switchgear, reminding fans of the original DX. Recently, a camouflaged test mule was spotted near Pune, giving away more about the scooter’s retro-inspired design.
The new DX carries unmistakable styling cues from the original Kinetic Honda DX, including its large seat, wide body panels, and signature front apron. However, it’s not just a copy-paste job. The scooter brings in modern elements like a new headlight design paired with Kinetic logo-shaped LED DRLs, a compact windscreen, and refreshed rear styling.
While exact performance figures are under wraps, the test unit featured a hub-mounted motor, most likely aimed at balancing cost and efficiency. The scooter rolls on 12-inch wheels and gets telescopic front forks with twin shock absorbers at the rear for a comfortable ride.
Targeted as an entry-level premium EV, the Kinetic DX could be priced close to Rs. 1 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against popular electric scooters like the TVS iQube and Ola S1 Air.
