Bentley did something bold at its latest reveal. They pulled the wraps off the EXP 15 concept. It’s not a production car. It’s a sign of what they want their electric future to look like. No one really expected Bentley to drop a shape like this.
The EXP 15 is dramatic. It’s big. It doesn’t look like any Bentley you’ve seen rolling down the street. No big round headlights. No familiar lines from the Continental or Bentayga. This one tries to break old habits.
Radical New Look Outside
First thing you notice is how big it is. The car stretches to 5.4 meters. It’s somewhere between a luxury sedan, a chunky SUV and a grand tourer. Bentley designers looked back at the old Speed Six Blue Train for ideas. That car was from 1928. It was famous for a race across France against a train. There’s a whole story there if you want a fun rabbit hole.
From the front, the EXP 15 could shock old Bentley fans. Gone are the classic twin round lamps. In their place sit slim vertical LEDs. The nose stands tall and upright. The grille stays diamond shaped but now it’s sealed and glows from inside. Under the huge bonnet, there’s luggage space. That’s new. You lift side-hinged panels on top to get your bags in.
Look at the profile and you’ll see massive rear arches. The whole body looks monolithic, almost like it’s carved from stone. No mirrors here. Cameras replace them. The wheels have aero blades. Fancy. Right behind the front wheel sits a neat air vent. It has an LED strip that lights up in two parts.
The rear might surprise you too. The usual Bentley oval tail-lights are missing. Instead, there’s a generic EV look with C-shaped LEDs. But they didn’t skip all the fun. There’s a split spoiler. The flaps move to adjust air flow.
Interesting Ideas Inside
Open the doors and it gets weirder in a good way. It’s a three-door. No rear door behind the driver. And only three seats inside. Bentley says most owners want to drive themselves or relax in the back. So the front passenger seat is out. What’s there instead? A custom pet cradle. Bring your dog along in style.
The rear seats swivel 90 degrees when the back door swings open. Makes it easy to step out in style. Even the roof opens up. Passengers can stand up before stepping out. Sounds fancy and a bit over the top. But hey, it’s Bentley. There’s a champagne cooler in the tailgate. There are picnic seats too. Take a break and enjoy a glass while looking at your big concept car.
Inside, the dashboard keeps Bentley’s famous wing shape. The screens don’t dominate. The instrument cluster is a slim band. There’s a screen on the passenger side too. In the middle sits a compact display for battery and other info.
One big thing stands out. Physical buttons are everywhere. The centre console. The doors. The steering wheel. Bentley says their customers are tired of full screens. They want to touch real switches. Robin Page, the new design boss, says mechanical details make Bentley special. Not everyone wants a giant tablet on wheels.
No Tech Specs Yet
If you’re wondering about batteries, motors or range, there’s no detail yet. Bentley calls it a pure design study. The shape is big and blocky so it’s not the most slippery in the wind. But Bentley says their buyers don’t worry too much about squeezing out every extra mile. Around 300 to 350 miles is fine. If they want to go further, they’ll just take the jet. Practical enough if you have that kind of life.
Big luxury brands like Bentley play around with wild ideas like this to test reactions. Sometimes the looks stick around. Sometimes they fade away. The EXP 15 feels like Bentley wants to keep old charm but show it in new ways.
A cool twist is the new Bentley logo. It’s hidden under glass. The Flying B mascot has been reshaped too. Small touches but they say a lot about Bentley’s plan to update its vibe.
Looking To The Future
They’ve said it clear. This EXP 15 won’t roll into showrooms tomorrow. But pieces of it might. The brand’s first proper electric Bentley will arrive in 2026. That one will be an SUV. No word yet on which ideas from the EXP 15 will live on.
Bentley’s old flagship sedan, the Mulsanne, is long gone. The EXP 15 tries to imagine what a big Bentley limo could be in the EV age. Just taller. Just wilder. Just more dramatic. It may look a bit generic from some angles but you can’t say it’s boring.
When old British luxury meets electric dreams, you get something like this. A big idea wrapped in stitched leather, glowing logos and space for your dog and champagne. Only Bentley could pull that off with a straight face.
