TVS is gearing up to make a splash in the adventure touring market with the upcoming launch of the Apache RTX 300, likely arriving in August 2025. After months of speculation and spy shots, the bike is finally set to hit showrooms, taking on rivals in the fast-growing 250-450cc ADV space.
The motorcycle first caught attention last year when early reports hinted at a brand-new 300cc platform in development. At the 2025 Expo, TVS gave a brief preview of the RTX 300, confirming much of the buzz. It features the newly developed 299cc, liquid-cooled RTX D4 engine, built entirely in-house. Producing 35 bhp and 28.5 Nm of torque, the engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch.
Despite its ADV badge, the TVS RTX 300 leans more toward road touring than hardcore off-roading. It features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with road-biased tyres, along with moderate suspension travel. The trellis frame and upright ergonomics should offer a relaxed riding posture, ideal for highway cruising. A tall windscreen and a wide, contoured seat further enhance touring comfort.
Feature-wise, TVS isn’t holding back. Expect a colour TFT display, switchable traction control, dual-channel ABS, and multiple riding modes. These additions position it well against mid-segment rivals like the KTM 250 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
With a competitive price expected and a focus on long-distance comfort, the Apache RTX 300 could quickly become a top choice for riders looking to upgrade from commuter machines into the touring world.
